In the bar, it’s the classics, perfectly executed. A wine lovers' haven, almost a theatre-like experience where staff serve classic cocktails alongside an extensive list of benchmark wines of the world by the glass with one of the country's most extensive bottle lists.
To match - think of it as a ‘by the glass food offering’, think of generously cut, hearty terrine with lashings of mustard, Steak tartare made at your table or seat, bread, gildas and the College Hill Cheese Service, fresh oysters, bites and snacks to accompany your journey through the wine list.
Partner and executive chef, Ryan Moore crafted the bar menu to complement the flavour profiles that highlight the fun of wine and food matching, salt, acid, fat, sugar, and bitters create a menu framework that the bar service team can guide guests on wines to match on a playful journey.
The private dining room
It’s a space for all seasons and reasons, from casual catch-ups, fireside chats, and corporate celebrations to intimate family dinners, elegant branded events, and, of course, our legendary wine dinners.
The menu reflects our love of European flavours, traditions, and contemporary techniques that hero New Zealand’s best produce.
The menu, like the space, suits any occasion—from oysters and snacks to shared mains of premium BBQ-fired meats and seafood. There is even a caviar and champagne service if the mood takes you.
Book the exclusive area for two to twenty people, choose from one of three wine and food-matching Masterclass menus or create your own.

Celebrate in a section or activate the entire Wine Room space, from transforming the Wine Bar into an oyster station and the Private Dining Room table to a family-style food service area as 75-100 people enjoy the space for canapé standing events, or book our 20 person private dining room.
Some of the enquiries to date include branded events, family celebrations, celebrity chef book launches, corporate workshops, and festive season celebrations.
Three canapé menus, created by executive chef Ryan Moore, complement our extensive Champagne collection, which includes champagne from some of the world’s most famous houses and boutique growers.

The curated store offers an easy-to-navigate collection of current vintage must-haves, we’ll roll out some of our expertly cellared wines from some of the world’s most iconic producers.
As you would expect, you can also shop expertly sourced glassware and drinkware by none other than Jancis Robinson, MW. In addition to wine and glassware, you’ll have a selection of Sommelier must-have wine tools and accoutrements to maximise your drinking experience.

Fine wine Storage
As a Resident of the professional fine wine storage in the state-of-the-art, subterranean cellars, you’ll have 24/7 access to your collection and exclusive access to the Residences Barrel Room, a private space to appreciate, catalogue, and consider your collection at your own discretion.
Choose from a walk-in Heirloom Cellar or grow with our bespoke Solera Cellar System, where your cellar footprint grows as your collection does. Cellar size as you need it, making it the most economical way to manage your investment.
Managed by the expert team at The Wine Room in collaboration with Storage King's operational excellence, the subterranean cellars offer assurance and certification when cellaring investment wines or spirit collections.
The Wine Room Concierge is on hand to catalogue, care for, and manage your collection's inward and outward-going stock.
An online inventory will enable Cellar Residents to select, order and have their wines delivered to their home or prepared ahead of dining in the private room by The Wine Room Concierge.
