A close-knit family, two brothers sharing a common vision and then passing on their values to the next generation, all this and more makes up the story of Champagne Huré-Fréres: started just over 50 years ago and still very much a family business.Today Raoul Huré and his two sons, Francois and Pierre invite you to discover their maison at Ludes in the Montagne de Reims.
Classy, biscuity, toasty Champagne from two brothers with organically farmed vineyards in various locations across Montaigne and Reims. The Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier both come from old vines in the Premier Cru of Ludes and is blended with Chardonnay that has spent 18 months on the lees, these are the little yeast particles that give wines that buttery, toasty brioche flavour.
Blend : 20% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot noir and 40% Pinot Meunier. Reserve wine usage : 25-40% of previous years. Aging : 30 to 36 months on lees. Tasting Note : Rich in ripe fruit aromas, cherry plums and a hint of toasted bread. Balanced, flexible and charming.
